i wouldn't forget those times we had together...

Anything and everything is never always good. However, these negative feelings and experiences are what that give meaning to life. It is through these difficult times that make us truly think hard about our past and what we've done. Do we always spend time to reflect and thank certain people when happy occasions occur? We would probably be busy celebrating and enjoying every moment of the joyous time rather than waste it on spending some quiet time alone and reflecting. So it is mostly during our worse moments that we learn more about things, such as our character, our attitude towards others, and can learn a thing or two from other people's experiences.

For example, I met this family of 4 and their friends, a couple during my trip to Thailand. They were in the same tour package as me. To me (and my family members), the family appears to be arrogant and anti-social. Their elder son is someone I can not tolerate. He was always complaining about everything that meets his eyes, from the food to his younger brother and even his parents.

I remember this incident whereby this guy asked his father a question and his dad did not know how to answer. He said, "If the father can say 'I don't know', than the son can say 'I don't care'." His parents just laughed it off as a joke. What's worse, when he openly complained about someone in this tour, his mother joined in instead of correcting his mistake, right in front of several other people in the tour.

The son is at fault for sure, but not totally. He is the result of his parents' negligence in upbringing him in the right way. Changing his behaviour would not be easy, considering the fact that he is already 14 or 15, and his parents are, well, just as unthoughtful. Parents should set a good example for their children, right?

It is natural for people to get bolder when they are in a bigger or more domineering group. That is when more unpleasant things would occur between different groups. However, if you disintergrate the group and talk to a few of them personally, you'd see the better and more likeable side of them. The couple were actually very friendly and kind. This is also what I've learnt from the Youth Camp.

We are all humans. No one is always good or bad. Even the most evil person has a good side in him and the purest person would still have a darker side in him. No one is perfect.

Tolearnce and patience are what a person should instill in him in this world where people always interact with each other. They are important in preventing any conflicts and misunderstandings and maintaining peace around. However, it is never easy to be tolerant and patient and a great amount of hard work is needed to make this world a better place to live in.
